8 Courses in One Bundle
Managing Your Inspiration
This course challenges the perception that inspiration is hard to find and, that it only falls by chance like a bolt of lightening. I'll teach you how to overcome the common fears and inhibitions associated with songwriting and performing. You'll develop a new skill as a miner of inspiration and, with some practice, put aside the notion of writer's block and become a prolific songwriter.
The End in Mind
Visualization is a skill used by many successful sports and business people, to see in their mind's eye 'where the ball will land before they hit it.' But we can also utilize our ear and imagination to 'hear' the sound of a song before we start writing it. This process of hearing The End in Mind is used by the elite songwriters working today but I can teach you how to develop that skill too.
Writing With Purpose
Do you lose interest in your song ideas or, have difficulty in finishing them? The most common cause for this is a lack of a defined purpose. If your song lacks purpose (a good reason to write it) and, is only fueled by feelings or emotions, you'll only write when you feel like it. This course will help you identify purposes that inspire you to write songs both you and your target audience will love and appreciate.
Developing a singular theme
A hit song has a singular theme running through it, which makes it easier for audiences to embrace and understand what the song is about. Many up and coming songwriters struggle to understand this... and thus have multiple or unfocused themes running through their songs. Let me show you how to develop one theme per song. You'll discover a new authority in your songwriting.
Focusing on your target
Most people make the mistake of trying to write a song for everybody making the song too general or unspecific to be a hit. I’ll teach how to identify the core needs and desires of your target audience and, show you how to shape your songs so that the audience will embrace them as their own. When a song finds a home with one audience, word gets around and soon other audiences are discovering your song too.
Become a Master of Style & Genre
Learn how to identify your own natural songwriting Style(s), gain an appreciation of how the industry categorizes song styles and genres and, learn how to broaden your scope of songwriting, to target different audiences, markets, labels, publishers and recording artists.
Form & Structure
The Building Blocks of a Hit Song
Learn how to become a Song Mechanic, so that you can identify why some songs are more successful than others (and why some songs are not) and, how you can use all of that information and song data to increase your chances of success within your targeted audiences and markets.
Tone & Context
The Missing Ingredience
The 5% difference maker and, one of the reasons why hit songwriters like Dylan, Sting, Beyoncé, Prince, Stevie Wonder and others, are so successful. Because, when they write a song, they shape the tone of the lyric, the melody and the beats to make their target audiences feel like the songs were written was just for them. Let me show you how to write songs like that too.

Each course is designed as self-paced, meaning that each student works through the lessons in their own time.
Each lesson features a video and/or text to introduce the concept with accompanying exercises, worksheets or homework. Plus, I provide lots of examples to study and links to other resources and industry information.
The end goal is to equip each student with the tools to develop their own pro-songwriting process.
I do suggest however that each student be patient and or repeat any lesson as many times as needs be… before moving onto the next lesson or Course.

The short answer: No.
The longer answer: As the production of the courses are labor intensive and, because the nature of the courses are quite unique, we feel that the current prices are fair and reasonable. Where possible, we will free up certain lessons to offer as previews of what the courses are about and, will endeavor to supply the Membership platform with ‘free to air’ lessons for all of our subscribers.

We do have other songwriting courses in development but for now, you might find the free lessons in The Rehearsal Room of some value. All you have to is Subscribe.
